I am a student in the PSPG graduate program here at UCSF. In addition, I am a master’s student in pharmaceutical engineering at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. I started the degree shortly after graduating summa cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering also from UofM. During my time in Ann Arbor I has worked in a variety of labs, including an inorganic synthesis lab in the department of chemistry as well as a synthetic membrane lab within the department of biomedical engineering. I spent the last summer in Connecticut, studying the capping tendency of various blends while working for Boehringer Ingelheim.
I moved to the United States from Poland in 2000. I finished high school in a suburb of Detroit. Outside of his academic and professional careers, I enjoy playing tennis, running, and working as a graphic designer. In 2007 I ran the Chicago Marathon. In addition, I have an interest in entrepreneurship, taking part in the events organized by the UofM’s center for entrepreneurs. In 2009 I co-founded a group for a sustainable energy competition, where I designed a piezoelectric insole system to generate and store energy from walking. I am an energetic and creative individual, always looking to apply novel solutions to the field of pharmaceutical sciences.
