In 2017, my journey in the world of scientific research began at the University of Florida, where I delved into the complexities of ovarian cancer and miRNA for my PhD. This period was pivotal, as it provided me with foundational training in molecular cell biology, and it was also the time when I self-taught bioinformatics. Most significantly, it was during these years that I discovered my passion for research, encompassing everything from conducting experiments to data analysis and uncovering novel findings.
My academic path then led me to Baylor College of Medicine in 2022 for postdoctoral training, focusing on spatial transcriptomics. However, after a year, I realized I was more interested in basic science, prompting me to join UCSF and the McManus lab in 2023. At present, my research is centered on exploring the innovative realm of CRISPR delivery technologies.
Beyond the confines of the lab, my life finds balance through my love for fishing, basketball, video games, and hiking.
