I received M.D. and Ph.D. from Keio University School of Medicine, Japan in 2005 and 2013, respectively. I am a Board Certified Gastroenterologist. My primary interest is cancer prevention and early detection. I joined in the Japanese multi-center national project for comprehensive circulating microRNA profiling of 13 types of solid cancers at the National Cancer Center Research Institute, Tokyo between 2015 and 2019. Through this experience, I strongly felt that we need to know more about how circulating miRNA profiles are determined. Outside of the lab, I love hanging out with my family, drinking beer, and traveling.
