Originally from Santa Barbara, CA, I went to school at University of Illinois to study Electrical Engineering with a minor in Bioengineering. Now, I am a bioinformatics PhD student in the iPQB program here at UCSF. I’m a fan of having fun while doing science, so I like to take on challenging, exciting, problems in biology, which contribute to our understanding of cellular design. Outside of lab, I like to cook, eat, travel and just generally be outside doing something. In winter, I try to get in as much skiing and snowboarding as much as possible.
