After completing my undergrad studies at UCLA and working for a few years in small biotech companies, I moved to San Francisco to do my PhD training with Katie Pollard at the Gladstone Institute of Cardiovascular Disease and UCSF. While there I studied gene regulation during embryonic development using large scale genomic data, working with both computational and experimental approaches. I'm excited to be a part of the Marson lab and study how gene regulatory mechanisms drive T cells into their different functional populations.
When I'm not in lab, I like weightlifting (Olympic style) and traveling to places that have cool wild animals.
