SEED Special Fellow

SEED Scholar positions are available in the McManus lab. This is a vibrant multidisciplinary environment with the research resources and space to create your own path towards independency. The diversity of our scientific program and publications is a self-evident reflection of the scientific freedom our trainees have– and the incredible opportunities for collaboration. In many ways, this position is similar to 'special fellows' positions that provide freedom, funding, and resources in a highly supportive environment. The McManus Lab combines multiple fields of genetics, synthetic biology, and systems biology to explore connections to human development and disease, and uncover fundamental science. Computational, engineering, molecular biology backgrounds are highly encouraged to apply.

This 'Special Fellows' type of position, enables PhD applicants to migrate into the Research Associate Professor track immediately, under a career development mentoring model. Fellows manage a research program, apply for grants, etc. This is a highly competitive opportunity and qualified applicants must be exceptionally independent.

 

Required Qualifcations

This 'Special Fellows' position enables applicants to migrate into the Research Associate Professor track immediately, under a career development mentoring model. Successful candidates will have a Ph.D., an M.D., or an M.D./Ph.D. degree(s) in any biological or biomedical science discipline with a record of publications.
