I graduated from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo with a Bachelors of Science in Animal Science with an emphasis in Zoo and Exotic Animal Care in 2009. As an undergraduate I was afforded the opportunity to apply the principles of animal biology, molecular biology and other life sciences to a variety of species. In my last year at Cal Poly, I worked as an Animal Care Intern at the Charles Paddock Zoo (a local zoo located in Atascadero, CA) where I worked with a variety of animals ranging from reptiles to lemurs to tigers. I joined the McManus lab in November 2009, and am currently working as the Mouse Technician on the KECK project. In my spare time I enjoy playing soccer, hiking, snowboarding and other outdoor activities.
