I grew up in Marin county, which is just north of San Francisco. I fully took advantage of the natural beauty of this area while growing up, which has now turned into a prerequisite for any place I live. I went to UC Santa Cruz for my undergrad education and majored in general biology. After a short stint in New York I came back to San Francisco and worked as a SRA in the Klein Lab at UCSF. There we studied tooth morphogenesis and tooth stem cells. I am now a PhD candidate in the biomedical sciences program at UCSF. Throughout my life I have fostered a love for ceramics and sculpture.
