I am originally from Minsk, Belarus where a number of passionate teachers and mentors nurtured my curiosity for the biosciences. I attended UC Berkeley (B.A. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology) prior to joining the McManus lab. I also have been fortunate enough to participate in a few research internships during my time as an undergrad. I aspire to continue advancing in the field of transcriptional regulation through the amazing opportunity of working at UCSF. In my free time I enjoy outdoor activities such as climbing, mushroom hunting and hiking, as well as socializing with friends over a home-cooked meal and glass of wine.
