I graduated from Sogang University in Seoul, Korea with a BS and MS in Biology. I then received a Ph.D. in the lab of Michael Hayman at SUNY Stony Brook, where i studied signal transduction pathways of oncogenic RTK, v-sea. I had two postdoctoral trainings, one with Gerald Thomsen at SUNY Stony Brook, investigating the TGFbeta/Smads signaling during dorso-ventral axis formation in frog, and the second one with Deepak Srivastava at Gladstone Institute, UCSF. In the Srivastava Lab, i investigated transcriptional and post-transcriptional regulation during mouse heart development.
