I am a rotating student and a member of the UCSF BMS PhD program. I attended Kansas State University for my BS in Biology and Medical Biochemistry. As an undergraduate, I worked in the lab of Dr. Masaaki Tamura studying a novel delivery system for a peptide inhibitor of the PD-1/PD-L1 checkpoint in the context of non-small cell lung cancer. In graduate school, I am excited about studying cellular interactions in the tumor immune microenvironment, as well as the systemic immune effects of cancer burden and cancer immunotherapy. In my spare time, I love adventurous outdoor activities, hanging with friends, and a good comedy show.
