Weronika Patena graduated from Caltech with Bachelor of Science degrees in Biology and Computer Science. As a student she has been involved in a diversity of research projects at Caltech and Stanford. Her interests focus on applying her programming expertise to biological experiment design and data analysis. Her favorite programming language is Python. She is currently working as a bioinformatics analyst for large-scale insertional mutant screens in single-cell algae in the Jonikas lab at the Carnegie Institution for Science.
