I am from Compton, CA and went to UCLA for my undergraduate degree. I took time off and worked at the NHGRI in Bethesda, MD for a year. Overall, my research has spanned from placental development to assessment of SNP risk for congenital defects.  I have a strong interest in development and epigenetic transcriptional control. In my spare time, I enjoy playing and watching tennis (slighly a fanatic), listening to live performances on youtube or in person, and reading.
