I have always been very interested in science and biology, and I am extremely excited to have the opportunity to continue studying what I love. Due to prior life and research experiences, I am at the moment most interested in cancer, particularly the complexity of checkpoint pathways and the implications of their derailment and function in tumorigenesis. However, I want to branch out and experience other areas of research, and for this reason I really look forward to rotations. This past year I took a year off and traveled to Taiwan, where I taught English and studied Chinese. I hope to continue speaking Chinese in San Francisco, and I can’t wait to visit Chinatown. My other hobbies include playing piano, guitar, and cello, and using my remaining time messing with my bike.
