Bio:

I grew up near Buffalo, NY and attended Vanderbilt University as an undergraduate student (B.S. in Chemistry).  Then, I did my Ph.D. (Chemistry) at UC Berkeley in Prof. Carolyn Bertozzi's lab where I developed chemical tools for imaging metabolically labeled glycans and other biomolecules in cells.  In my spare time I play and watch soccer religiously and hang out with my better half, Brianne.
