Chong Park graduated from Sogang University in Seoul, Korea with a BS and MS in Biology. She received her Ph.D. in the lab of Michael Hayman at SUNY Stony Brook, where she studied the signal transduction pathways of oncogenic RTK, v-sea. She did a short postdoctoral training with Gerald Thomsen at SUNY Stony Brook, studying the TGFbeta/Smads signaling during dorso-ventral axis formation in frog. Then she did her second postdoctoral training in Deepak Srivastava’s lab at Gladstone Institute, UCSF, where she investigated transcriptional and post-transcriptional regulation during mouse heart development.
