Postdoc positions are available in the McManus lab to study biological processes relating to RNA interference pathways, using the mouse as a model. This includes the study of small RNAs of biological significance, such as microRNAs, and genetic factors involved in small RNA genesis and regulation of gene expression. Several projects are available that include the use of RNA expression arrays (both mRNA and microRNA), mouse transgenics (both knock-outs and knock-ins), and biochemical approaches in cell culture aimed at disecting mechanisms of small RNA biology. Anyone interested in molecular mechanisms of gene expression as related to small RNAs should apply.
